Hello, my name is Ryan Miller, I’m the CEO and one of the co-founders here at Peerlogic.

Today we’re going to talk about new patient conversion rates (dental).

A patient conversion happens when a new or existing patient calls in to your practice looking to schedule  an appointment and ends up doing so.

A good indicator of the health of a practice  is how many new patients call in inquiring about service, and how many of those end  up scheduling that first appointment.

This is called a new patient conversion rate. Looking at our dashboard, you’ll find that we first identify all appointments requested, their outcomes, and the dollar  amounts associated with them. Below that you’ll find our new patient conversion rate.

(Example) This practice looks to be  converting about 20 percent  of their new patients that call  in in to that first appointment. Just below the industry average of 23 (percent).

To take a deeper dive we can go to the call performance (tracking) and look at all the calls coming in and out of the practice,  and we can also filter all these calls by new patient or existing patient or the  call outcome, which is failure or success.

Failure being a call that resulted in  an appointment not being booked and success being a call that resulted  in an appointment being scheduled.

Taking a look at the first line here we  can see an existing patient called in. They scheduled a new appointment. The status is booked and they’re  booking of cleaning and exam.

Moving down to the second line we can see  this is a new patient calling in for hygiene.

They had some questions on pricing and  didn’t end up scheduling during this call. And if you go down to the bottom we can see this is a new patient with a new (dental) appointment. They ended up scheduling of course their first exam.

In later videos we’ll dive into  the Peerlogic performance report, which really dives into some of the metrics  of the calls coming in and out of your office.

Items like what insurance is being  discussed, top procedures, and so on. But for today that is new patient conversion. Thank you for watching.
